The Hill… (not at the “Y”) and The Climb ~ I Can - I Will! By Debbie Jumper Well, I am positive I am not the only woman to turn the BIG 5-0 !   I know there have been many, many others before me (you know who you are at FS!!).   I am sure I do not have the key to life and that extra special life changing wisdom to share.   I only can say that, like some of you, I have made the climb to the top of this one BIG hill. So, now that I am mid-way through this journey of life, I must admit the view is a tad different.   It is a little scary toppling over the other side.   It is also freeing.   It is juxtaposition.   Scary, because I know – DEATH is closer!   Freeing, because – well, I have reached the point of “less judgement” of myself and I am more comfortable in my own skin, and I have more fully grown into my person.   Not completely, but mostly.   There is always work to do on one’s self. Proactive not Reactive -by Laura Davis I recently came across an article that hit close to home for me. I'm always asked by people I talk to---  " how in the world I am able to and want to workout so early in the morning. My family is not up so why in the world would I want to wake up so early???"  There really isn't one answer for why I prefer a morning workout. This article I read hit the nail on the head for me.  The main reason I want to start off my day early before my kids even wake up is to be in a proactive state, not reactive. I want to dictate how my day will start. If I want to do that, I need to rise early, workout and have some time to myself. Not allow myself to be woken only to be rushed to get the kids fed and off to school as well as for me, have work calls and emails piling in galore.  So whether you have kids, have a stressful job, workout in the evenings or in the mornings....remember to shave out some time to get up and ...

I allow my fears to hold me back because of expectations from others and from myself because I am afraid of letting everyone down. Enough is enough!  The Power of a VISION BOARD By Molly Piercy Its 2016 and today is the day some of us reflect on the past year and think about the things we want to do differently in the upcoming year!  New experiences, new trips, new commitments, new jobs, new careers, new families-- you name it.   A vision board is a HELPFUL reminder daily of all of your AMBITIONS that you have for the year.   A  vision board  is a tool used to help clarify, concentrate and maintain focus on a specific life goal. Literally, a vision board is any sort of board on which you display images that represent whatever you want to be, do or have in your life. So maybe you are stuck at home.  Christmas Vacation- can't make your normal workout time or schedule because you have to worry about everyone else and its hard to put you first.  So Here is a quicky for you to go for at home!  Bootylicious Bodacious Butt Kicker Warm up- 2 rounds through 15 squats 15 pushups 15 Jumping jacks The Workout... 20 Curtsy Lunges 20 Squat Jumps 20 1 legged Hip raises per/side 50 Mountain Climbers 50 Bent Leg Dirty Dogs Per side Set Clock for 20 minutes.
